Young At Heart - the 3rd Annual Seniors Film Festival

Coming in April, the 3rd Annual Seniors Film Festival is much more than a festival for seniors... it gives everyone a chance to relive those halycon days of yesteryear that play so well onscreen.

Old movies mean a great chance to revisit some old classics: I'm especially looking forward to "Dial M For Murder" and even a little bit of "Singin' in the Rain", which will play at the Randwick Ritz and Dendy Opera Cinema, respectively.

And get this: it's a "Singin' in the Rain" singalong. You're going to belt out the songs from the pit of your belly, like some feral Hollywood star, snarling in the night. It'll be a night where you'll come home hoarse and exhausted - but when was the last time you went to movie like that?

Even better, the festival includes an old-time style fair, with retro fashions and swing bands. Is that your thing?

It looks like a great selection of movies, with a wide variety and special interests night. Come along and you might get hassled by an irate Canadian film reviewer, barking at you to sing along, wearing one fake eyelash and a bowler. Just ignore him, but do singalong:

Oh this was so nice! It was one of my favorite movies. They really do not make movies like this anymore. Thanks for sharing this.

I love the hits of yesteryears too. Thanks for mentioning "Dial M for Murder" and "Singin' in the Rain" both my favs.
