I've never really understood the appeal of workout videos. I mean, you've got a recording of someone else getting in shape - this is supposed to motivate you?

Working out was a lot more flamboyant in the 80s. Scientists were coming up with exciting new materials to dye in fluoroescent colours, and hairstyles were poofy and voluminous. Take, for example, this video:

Is she possessed by a demon? One with a cruel penchant for exercising on video?

If you pause it at exactly 1:08, you get the most horrifying part of this video - the eyes rolling back in the head, the tongue sticking out. In the 80s, 'getting your freak on' really meant acting like a freak and getting it on.

At the 46/47 second mark. I swear she looks like she's about to start laughing at the stupidity of her antics. Like a crunk having a brief moment of clarity.

I paused it at 1:08 and i didn't see any tongue roll. Tho the tongue roll infested the rest of the video
What was she trying to do? I didn't hear her cos my sound is down.
Does she get paid to do that?

So....I don't know if I'm more disturbed by what she is doing or what she is wearing...and her hair, oh my God. There were so many great things about the 80's. This was not one of them.
