The Reason I Will Not Be Watching Transformers 2
July 16th 2009 05:20
I did not enjoy the first Transformers live-action film.
CLICKHERE to read my scathing review of Transformers (2007) on Movie Train.
"For the first half it seems like a vehicle for a series of shots of Megan Fox's midriff (a women who would look better with a bag over her head and looks waaaay too old to be playing a teenager), and the second half didnt even hold my attention it was so dull."
So it goes without saying that I was already highly skeptical of what Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen (2009) was going to be like. Same director (Michael Bay), same producer (Steven Spielberg), and same principal cast (Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox etc). It seemed to be the sequel was only going to be as bad or worse.
While browsing YouTube I clicked on a review of Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen (2009) - see below - and the sheer animosity of the reviewers towards the film convinced me it is something I will NOT be watching.
They are incensed and frustrated and baffled all at the same time. They said they had not seen such a bad film since Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), a film which was largely laughed out of town by any movie-goer with a shred of sense or dignity.
Warning: video contains spoilers, and strong language

Megan Fox's look is not my cup of tea . . . she looks like a blow-up doll sex toy
hi Wilson,

it's Michael bay, he only makes one kind of picture and they make billions....so he makes more. Pearl Harbour shpould have been the end of his career, but NNNOOOO. Just like freekin Uwe Boll, people continue to pay to watch the product.

yeah i really didnt need any extra reasons either, but the "geek boy rampage" (haha love your description) just cemented it for me
i really liked The Island, more for the script than the direction, there were a few unnecessary explosions . . . i also thought The Rock was decent for a brain-dead popcorn action film, good performances
lets face it, the man (Bay) is still just a music clip director who is obsessed with pyrotechnics

I was being a meanie by making you explain why you like Armageddon, I’m now repentant and apologetic
I have no reason to comment as I’ve watched some utter crap over the last few months...
Enjoy and relish!
