Superman Returns - Film Preview

Superman #1

In anticipation of the new Superman movie, which will come out on June 30, 2006, here's a link to a little bit of Superman history..

Superman #1

The film should have a tug of nostalgia for Australians, particularly Sydneysiders, as the majority of the project was filmed in Sydney, with the farm scenes filmed in Tamworth.

Australian actress Peta Wilson will take a role in the film, giving the film a well-rounded Aussie flavour.

It'll be pretty tough to follow Christoper Reeve's act, and this new guy, Brandon Routh, has a big codpiece to fill...

I hope that the new Superman movie is a better effort than the last couple of super hero/comic movies. I won’t go through the list but I'm sure you know the one's I’m talking about! I'm sick of smallville ad's that are trying to steal some hype from this new movie... lucky I don’t watch the show!

You know it... comic book movies are really starting to irritate my inner child.

When they start making movies for lame superheroes, then we'll know the movie industry is in trouble... ie. Aquaman.

Never been into comics and yeah comic book movies in general have been horrible, but there are always exceptions, like V for Vendetta.

I agree comic books have been the source of some really bad movies. But the last batman movie was suprisingly good, maybe we'll be lucky again with superman? Or maybe that's hoping for too much.

I could never watch Smallville after Lois and Clarke: The Adventures of Superman. I mean COME ON.

Nothing else has been able to accommodate Dean Cane (Kane?) since!

They took the Channel 7 sign out of Martin Place to film this movie so, um, I for one will be wondering where the bloody hell I am =P
