Stephen King's The Mist Internet Trailer
November 6th 2007 22:11
This trailer was released on IGN and is getting a lot of attention... The Mist is a creepy Stephen King novella that places a small New England town in the terrorizing grip of a killer fog. Ludicrous? Yes, which makes it all the more terrifying.
Coming out in the States on November 21, The Mist is the film adaptation of King's novella. The trailer came out today and shows how sinister really bad weather can be:
The acting looks a little hammy, and the scares seem predictable, but that's American horror. Given the source material, it'll probably still be a good scare, leaving you clutching fitfully at your greasy box of popcorn.
One reason that critics are curious about this production is that director Frank Darabont also directed The Shawshank Redemption, another Stephen King novella, that turned out to be a sleeper hit with DVD audiences. Darabont will also put out Fahrenheit 451 next year, an adaptation of Ray Bradbury's classic.
