Spin - a short film about destiny and turntables
November 25th 2007 22:45
This short film from Double Edge Productions is incredibly well-made for a short and has won several awards.
It's not too ingenious, treading some predictable ground, but the beauty is in the execution...
The reaction to this short ranges from awe to contempt... do you find it cheesy or inspirational?
One commenter on Fazed:
"Very good... now go watch Primer (40 times) "
Primer is a 2004 indie film made for $7 000 which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance... I haven't seen it, but it's highly regarded in the physics community as a film that doesn't try to dumb down the science.

Nice treatment - though it's let down somewhat in the final wash by the cheesy finish.
Well deserved plaudits - just a little more time and 'think tanking' could have made it thought provoking.
