The Daily Show on the Surge of Troops into Iraq

Personally, I find American network news so unbearably boring to watch, with hundreds of shows just focusing on the minutia that escapes from George W. Bush's lips. When they're not commenting on American foreign policy, they've cooked up some fear story keep people on the edge of their seats.
It's always with delicious pleasure that I watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. It's not news per se, but, in the style of Hunter S. Thompson, there's no objective viewpoint, so you might as well just take it all as delirium.
Recently, Bush announced the addition of 20 000 more troops to Iraq, which sounds like a big deal, but as Stewart points out:
'20 000 troops? We've already got like 130 000 troops already there! 20 000 is just 15% - that's not a surge, that's a tip! It's a gratuity.
Not only that, it's a bad tip... like getting tipped from cheap European tourists!

I can't watch US cable news without barfing.
Fox is my personal nemesis. One thing sums it up Murdock-a-vision.
If it wasn't for the Daily show I would be easy to think that the whole of America is a bunch of humourless Rednecks who fail to grasp the concept of satire.
