High Moon - Werewolf Spaghetti Western - Film Preview
September 6th 2006 18:04
An anonymous comment on my post about an animated clip of a zombie-themed spaghetti western:
"How about a werewolf spaghetti western? One is underway in Austin, TX. www.texanthrope.com (animatic also on youtube and ifilm)"
A shameless plug for some half-hearted movie project? Maybe. I checked it out, and was pleasantly surprised to find that High Moon looks like a fantastic upcoming movie, a toss at From Dusk Till Dawn, but with more Spaghetti and Lycanthropy.
High Moon Website
The movie is currently in pre-production, and the crew has released an animated storyboard to illustrate the atmosphere and the style of the movie:
Hey, I like werewolves and I like westerns. Why not?
I think, most importantly, the trailer shows that High Moon will use the minimalism and graphic violence that marks Italian Westerns to instill a sense of tension and anticipation.
