Guillermo del Toro wants to take a crack at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows

After the wild success of "Pan's Labyrinth", director Guillermo del Toro is interested in making "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows". From /Film, this quote:
Out of all the Harry Potter movies, I liked the Prizoner of Azkaban the best, as it had a dark atmosphere and a twisted storyline. The movie was made by del Toro's buddy, Alfonso Cuaron, and was one of the better movies in the series, I thought.
They'll have to make a move on it, though... Daniel Radcliffe is aging so fast compared to the storyline of the books that he'll have a receding hairline by the time del Toro gets to throw him around...

“I’m definitely interested,” he insisted, “now that the movies have grown darker. They have a contrast between the gloomy existence of the kid and the world he’s exposed to. They have evolved into a really nice universe.”

I loved Del Toro's work with Cronos, Devil's Backbone and Pan's Labyrinth and his sensibilities will bring a fresh darker edge to the franchise.
I still haven't read the last book to comment on it's worth as a plot line finale.
