Ghostbusters 3 Video Game from Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis!
November 15th 2007 22:10
When I was really young, I played a Ghostbusters 2 video game on the PC. It was awful, thinking back to the dull gameplay, the ludicrous cutscenes, but everyone my age loved Ghostbusters. Who ya gonna call?
Now comes the news that Vivendi Games will be producing another Ghostbusters game, possibly called Ghostbusters 3, to be released in fall 2008.
It's about time that the franchise was revisited... we've got faster computers, advanced graphic cards! Let's see all the freakiest effects, the nastiest slime and the most horrific plots. I nourished my imagination with The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series, which had some fantastic storylines.
At least, I thought they were amazing.
Slashfilm also reports that Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis have agreed to pen the script for the game, though those guys have clearly lost their edge. The torch should be passed to fresh blood, namely Canadian film critics living in Australia that love Ghostbusters. Know any?

God I love the Ghostbuster films, and the cartoon (I loved Slime....a lot). I'd be interested to see how the game comes out.
