Bender's Big Score Futurama DVD
Futurama fans can finally stop squealing themselves to sleep. Though the show was cancelled by Fox, legions of fans howling for more Futurama compelled Comedy Central to buy the series.

And even more: they're putting out a feature length DVD called Bender's Big Score. And then three more features after that.

It's a smart move, if you ask me. Instead of pulling a Simpsons (jumping the shark for over 10 seasons, then putting out a hyped-up movie), these crafty fellows are sneaking a DVD in your stockings for Christmas.



Will it be funny? I don't know... I feel that the series has lost its edge over time, but diehard fans of the show swear their first-born children on it. With the move to Comedy Central, perhaps the humour will get a revitalizing boost of creativity.

Hi Cib,
Ive been waiting on this one since Tracy offered a heads up a few months ago...Personally Season 4 was my favourite year for the show so I have high hopes the film will be witty sci-fi comedy that voyages beyond already established humour borders.

I'll be buying it as well. Bender is (was) one of the best comedy characters on TV -- with by far the best laugh.

I'm really looking forward to this - I too thought that some of the best episodes were in the fourth (technically fourth and fifth) seasons, so I'm hoping that this will continue the high standard.
