Broken Lizard's Beerfest - Film Preview
July 16th 2006 23:04
Broken Lizard is the comedy team that produced Super Troopers, a surprisingly hilarious, offbeat comedy. With maple-chugging contests, and State Troopers saying 'Meow', it's humour that you can't explain, but is solid gold on the big screen.
Their next movie, Club Dread, was considered 'unwatchable', but I still enjoyed it for the smoking hot babes and the serial killer plot.
The latest Broken Lizard movie will be a winner... I hope. It's called Beerfest and it will come out in theatres in America on August 25. Who knows when it'll come out in Australia - maybe when the last gorilla is slaughtered.
The premise of the movie is a twist on Fight Club: two Americans travel to Germany to discover a secret beer-drinking club, complete with initiations and rituals. We can only hope that Broken Lizard will continue their proud tradition of including pointless nudity and smoking hot babes.
